Review Happy Cat Sailors' Meeting
An unforgettable weekend at the Grabner Happy Cat Sailors' Meeting 2024
This year's Grabner HAPPY CAT Sailors' Meeting 2024 was a complete success and brought together sailors from all over Europe. For three days, Lake Traunsee was transformed into a paradise for catamaran lovers as 70 HAPPY CATs and 140 participants from six nations travelled to this special event.
FRIDAY - FREE SAILING
Many participants arrived on Thursday to take advantage of the extra hours on the water.
The meeting officially began on Friday, the day of arrival.
The evening was characterised by a warm welcome and a festive award ceremony for the participants, followed by a cosy dinner together.
The atmosphere was characterised by community and enthusiasm right from the start.
SATURDAY - MASS START REGATTA
Saturday was all about the competition.
Three mass start regattas were held in ideal wind conditions. 60 HAPPY CATs lined up and the dense starting line made for an impressive sight: seeing so many sailing catamarans in motion at the same time was a real spectacle.
The evening was rounded off with another meal together, followed by an exciting finale with the broadcast of the European Football Championship.
SUNDAY - Award ceremony, SAILING TRIP
The award ceremony was held on Sunday. The top three in all five classes received a unique stainless steel trophy in the shape of a HAPPY CAT.
The participants then set off on a joint sailing trip across Lake Traunsee to Traunkirchen and back. The atmosphere was also fantastic and the sailors enjoyed the wonderful weather and the impressive mountain scenery around Lake Traunsee.
A special thank you goes to the numerous participants, some of whom travelled over 1,000 kilometres to attend.
Their passion and commitment made the Grabner HAPPY CAT Sailors' Meeting 2024 an unforgettable experience.
We are already looking forward to next year and to welcoming this wonderful community back to Lake Traunsee.
